Telecast Announces New Series 6000 Modules for Viper? II

September 08, 2006 -- DMN Newswire--2006-9-8--Telecast Fiber Systems today announced the launch of Series 6000, its next generation of fiber optic video and audio transport module sets for the company?s widely used Viper II family. In developing this RoHS-compliant product series for its legacy Viper II, Telecast has incorporated the latest technology to provide even higher performance and additional convenience features. Most new Series 6000 HD/SDI modules will be backwards compatible with existing Viper II 5000 series modules.

Several Viper II Series 6000 module sets are already available for the transport of SDI and HD/SDI. They range from single HD/SDI transport to multichannel transceivers and AES digital audio multiplexing. Modules feature a BNC video monitoring port on the front panel, and certain modules offer loop-through inputs, multiple video outputs, distribution amplifier expansion options, selectable signal reclocking, and integrated status and optical power metering.

?Telecast is building upon its legacy Viper II platform to respond to the emerging needs of the European community by developing ecologically responsible products. These new products incorporate state-of-the-art technology to improve performance and incorporate features that the markets demand,? said Richard Cerny, president of Telecast Fiber Systems. ?At the same time, we have made every effort to ensure that these products seamlessly build upon existing Series 5000 installations, making the transition graceful and easy.?

Telecast?s Viper II Series combines a convenient, front-loading card cage with high-performance modules for all types of signal transport. Modules, including those in Series 6000, are convertible to ?throw-down? units for simple or distributed applications. They handle a broad range of signals including NTSC/PAL/SECAM video, SDI and HD/SDI, multichannel audio, RS232/422 data, L-Band, POV camera links, and Ethernet (10/100 and Gig-E).

MAXON DELIVERS RELEASE 12
In Hollywood, there is little doubt that MAXON's CINEMA 4D is the 3D motion graphics artist's best friend. Insider #149 - Game Demographics
The blood, gore, adrenalin challenges that were unveiled at E3 and enjoyed at ComicCon are fun to look at, easy to hold but are they really the games people want to plunk down their credit cards to own or rent time with? Seems as though the investors, the players who control the controllers have a different idea of a "good" game than the kids who develop them. While mobs of people play educational, informational, stimulating games our kid huddles in his room and mumbles "The Few, The Proud, The Gamers." Read More
